DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College women's soccer team takes its three-match winning streak on the road this week with a Thursday meeting against CSU Pueblo at Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

Last Time Out
The Skyhawks battled weather but got two key matches in at Dirks Field last week. The team opened the week with a decisive 9-0 win over New Mexico Highlands. Salazar's three-goal performance led the team, followed by a two-goal outing from senior Anna Tucker—the first multi-goal match of her career. Junior Abila Tapia put up one goal and two assists, and senior Abigail Nkrumah added two assists in the effort. Senior Ann Spence, redshirt freshman Kiana Jamerson, and freshman Addyson Carpentier each picked up goals in the win. Carpentier's first-half score was the first of her Skyhawks career.

Sunday featured a 2-0 win over Adams State to round out the week. Tucker picked up the game winning goal, her third goal of the weekend and fourth of the season, on an assist from senior Renee Junna. Salazar added the brace for her seventh goal of the season and fourth of the weekend thanks to an assist from fifth year Danielle Gonzales. Freshman goalkeeper Trinity Lujan collected three saves in the shutout, bringing her season goals against average to .58.

Salazar named RMAC Player of the Week
Salazar was on fire at home last week, opening play with three goals in an eventual 9-0 win over New Mexico Highlands. The hat trick is a rarity for any player in collegiate soccer and was the first for Fort Lewis in 12 seasons. The nine-goal output for the Skyhawks team matched a program record, and the margin of victory was second-best in team history.

The junior followed that up with her seventh goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Adams State on Sunday. Seven goals in a season is the most for a player since 2013. She is tied for second in the conference with her total goals and game winners (3) and is second in both shots per game (3.36) and shots on goal per game (1.64).
