DURANGO, Colo. – The No. 13 nationally ranked Fort Lewis men's soccer team (7-3-4, 3-2-2 RMAC) will live on the road this week, continuing its road trip in the hunt for six conference points up at South Dakota Mines (6-6-3, 1-6-1 RMAC) on Thursday and Regis University (5-5-4, 3-2-2 RMAC) on Sunday.
 
RMAC Tournament
With three matches remaining in the regular season, the Skyhawks are beginning to eye the upcoming Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. With Tuesday night's victory, Fort Lewis now owns 11 conference points and sits tied for fifth-place in the league's standings. The Skyhawks are eight points back from league-leader University of Colorado Colorado Springs (8-4-4, 6-1-1 RMAC). With three matches and nine points up for grabs, anything can happen through the final seven days of RMAC action. The first and second overall seeds at the end of the regular season will get a first-round bye, while seeds three and four host seeds six and five, respectively.
 
NCAA National Tournament
Today, the NCAA released its first of three sets of regional rankings previewing the top 12 teams from each super region under consideration for the NCAA national tournament. Fort Lewis sits in Super-Region 4, which features the RMAC, Lone Star Conference, Great Northwest Athletic Conference, PacWest Conference, and California Collegiate Athletic Association. The Skyhawks are one of two teams from the RMAC alongside Colorado State University Pueblo (7-2-7, 3-2-3 RMAC) and one of three teams in the South-Central region alongside No. 9 nationally ranked Midwestern State University (9-3-3, 5-2 LSC). Next week's rankings will list teams in order from 1-through-12, and the final selections will be made on Monday, Nov. 17, on NCAA.com.
 
Clean Sheets
Fort Lewis has built strong momentum heading into the round trip, earning a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Colorado School of Mines (3-7-4, 2-5 RMAC) last Sunday before wrapping up a 5-0 victory over Colorado Christian University (2-10-3, 2-3-2 RMAC) last night. The Skyhawks' offense has been firing on all cylinders in both matches, scoring six total goals on 46 total shots and 27 shots on goal. Fort Lewis also forced 20 combined corner kicks and committed just 17 fouls. Lucas Martin has kept both foes out of the net, recording seven saves, including a penalty kick save against the Orediggers.

South Dakota Mines at Home
The Hardrockers have struggled in recent weeks, playing their last four matches on the road and suffering losses with one 3-3 draw against Colorado Christian. Over the same span, SDM has been outscored 8-4 and shut out twice. In its last match at home, the Hardrockers made program history, upending then No. 11-ranked CSU Pueblo 2-0 with a two-goal second-half effort. While sitting at .500 for the season, South Dakota Mines is 4-2 at home and averages 3.5 goals per match at Dakota Fields.

Rebound Rangers
Regis heads into the week with momentum after earning a 1-0 shutout over Westminster (7-6-2, 3-2-2 RMAC) on the road after a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Colorado Mesa University (7-4-3, 4-1-2 RMAC). The road has been much more favorable to Regis, as the Rangers boast just a 1-1-1 record at home, with its lone victory coming by way of a 3-1 decision over Azusa Pacific University (4-7-3, 3-2-2 PacWest). RU's last home match was on Oct. 12, a 1-0 loss to UCCS. At home, the Rangers have scored five goals against their opponents, four.

Looking Ahead
Fort Lewis will cap the 2025 regular season on the road next with a quick trip over Wolf Creek Pass to challenge the Grizzlies at Adams State University (1-12-1, 0-7 RMAC) at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5. ASU will face Regis this Friday, Oct. 31, and South Dakota Mines on Sunday, Nov. 2.
