DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis will honor its 13 graduating seniors before kickoff on Saturday afternoon as the Skyhawks (2-8, 1-7 RMAC) welcome the Orediggers (6-4, 4-4 RMAC) from Colorado School of Mines for the 2025 regular-season finale up on the rim at Ray Dennison Memorial Field.
 
First Responders Day
Fort Lewis will celebrate First Responders Day as well on Saturday, offering free admission to all first responders and veterans with a valid ID. Gates will open at 10:30 a.m.
 
Senior Celebrations
The Skyhawks will honor and celebrate their 13 graduating seniors before kickoff, including Croix Burney, Axton Ching-Manaku, Cuben Dixon, Jamille Humphrey, Andrew Lasater, Cameron Mack, Nicholas Minacapelli, Preston Ortega, Christopher Ponce, Brett Stonebraker, Christopher Thomas Jr., Blake Weiher, and Raef Wilkins. Fort Lewis will also honor Alyssa Johnson, a four-year student coach, and Alejandra Medina, a member of the athletic training team.
 
Last Time Out
Fort Lewis will look to cap the season on a high note after suffering a 31-14 loss to New Mexico Highlands University (6-4, 4-4 RMAC) last weekend. Despite putting up 317 yards of total offense and being out-gained by just 66 yards, it was a quartet of turnovers that sank the blue and gold, including two interceptions and a pair of fumbles. The Cowboys also blocked a punt inside the 20. Jacob Morris had a career day in the pocket, firing off for 270 yards and one touchdown by way of a 75-yard deep-ball to Zachary Gaumont. Jake Penney led the defense with 18 total tackles, and Wesley Wright blocked a field goal and broke up one pass.

Mines in Recent Weeks
Colorado School of Mines is coming off a heartbreaking 41-34 loss at home in overtime to then No. 6/7-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo (9-1, 8-0 RMAC). The Orediggers led 28-13 heading into halftime, but CSUP struck for a touchdown with 54 seconds left to force the overtime period before later scoring on the first possession and intercepting Mines on its second play from scrimmage to secure the win. The loss put Mines at 2-2 over the last four weeks, with both losses coming against top-10 opponents.
 
Balanced Orediggers Offense
Mines boasts the second-ranked overall offense in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, averaging 435.9 yards per game on the league's third-most points per game at 35.7. In addition, the Orediggers are the only team in the conference to average over 200 yards per game both on the ground and through the air, with 224.8 yards and 211.1 yards, respectively. Conversely, CSM is sixth in overall defense behind Fort Lewis, surrendering 361 yards for 27.7 points per game.
