Turnovers, three-point shooting doom Fort Lewis

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Fort Lewis men's basketball saw its three-game win streak come to an end Tuesday morning at the Northside ISD Sports Gymnasium as No. 14 St. Edward's University was lights-out from deep, disciplined with possession, and effective across the field, defeating the Skyhawks 87-61 on the neutral floor.

Fort Lewis falls to an even 5-5 overall, but maintains an unblemished 4-0 mark in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play. The Skyhawks are now 0-3 against top-25 opponents, and 2-5 in non-conference play against Lone Star Conference opponents. Top-ranked St. Edward's rose to 12-1 overall.

The Skyhawks continued to find success off the glass and in the post, out-rebounding the Hilltoppers by a 42-35 margin thanks to a career-high 10 boards from Donald Bangham, Jr., who also poured in eight points.
