The Roadrunners were plagued by 20 turnovers that led to 28 points for the Skyhawks. Fort Lewis turned the ball over 17 times but dished out 22 assists to go along with 11 rebounds.

Freshman Katie Lamb led all players with 21 points (5-of-8 3PT) and nine rebounds. Lamb surpassed 20 points for the fourth time this season and the third time in as many games. Palacio Gámez led the way with a career-high five assists, followed by senior Livia Knapp who handed out four.

Lamb matched MSU Denver's opening drive with her first three of the game, followed by points from Hernandez and Hoobler for an 8-3 lead after two minutes. Fort Lewis remained perfect from the field after Palacio Gámez dropped in a pair of layups to make it 12-8. The teams headed into the media timeout with Fort Lewis leading 14-10 and the Skyhawks shooting 75 percent from the field after five minutes. The next two minutes saw ball-handling issues for both teams, but the Skyhawks extended the lead to eight points after a hook shot from Lamb. The Roadrunners responded with their third make from three and a layup to trim the lead to three with 1:25 remaining. MSU Denver ended the quarter on a 9-0 scoring run thanks to a deep three at the buzzer to carry a 19-18 lead into the second quarter.

The Skyhawks heated up from three early in the second quarter thanks to a shot from Palacio Gámez to give her team the lead. Fort Lewis held onto the lead through three minutes after back-and-forth offensive drives, but another three by MSU Denver gave the home team a narrow advantage. The score became tied at 28-28 at the 5:26 mark after a layup by the Roadrunners, and that deadlock held until a layup from MSU Denver at the four-minute point. Hernandez went to work and gave Fort Lewis the lead after contributing a pair of layups, reaching 10 points and making it 32-30. The Skyhawks held the Roadrunners scoreless in the final two minutes while enjoying a 6-0 scoring run to bring a 38-33 lead to the locker room.

The freshman's tear continued as she brought her afternoon total to 16 points with another deep shot for a 53-41 lead midway through the quarter. Knapp joined in the fun with five straight points to build the lead to a game-high 18 points with under two minutes on the clock. MSU Denver got back in the scoring column at the free-throw line with six made shots, and Fort Lewis made the final shot off the hand of Lamb for a 63-48 score after three quarters.

Palacio Gámez extended the lead to 21 points with four of the first six points of the quarter, bringing her total to 11 points. MSU Denver missed four free throws to bring its scoreless stretch to four minutes, meanwhile, a layup from sophomore Sarah Chick grew the lead to 71-48 with 5:50 on the clock. After a scoring drought, MSU Denver poured in five points while Fort Lewis matched the effort for a 75-53 lead. The Roadrunners picked up the pace and enjoyed a 10-2 scoring run to run the clock out, but the margin was too much to overcome in a commanding 77-63 win for Fort Lewis.
