Fifteen seconds into the second quarter, Westminster struck again, extending its lead to 8-1. Nguyen responded with her second goal of the game, but the Skyhawks still trailed 11-2 at halftime.
Lay made a key save to open the third quarter, setting up a goal from LaCivita that cut the deficit to 11-3. The teams went scoreless for six minutes before Westminster's Williamson scored again, sparking a 4-0 Griffins run to push their lead to 15-3.
