Softball to close out 2025 season on the road at Regis

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis softball is heading back to the Front Range for its final four-game Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series of the 2025 campaign this Friday and Saturday, with the Skyhawks (10-34, 9-30 RMAC) challenging the Rangers (17-30, 16-22 RMAC) at Regis University.
 
Last Time Out
The Skyhawks are fresh off a 3-1 series loss at home to Black Hills State (26-22, 24-16 RMAC). After the Yellow Jackets captured the first three games in the series, Fort Lewis responded in the final game of the series with 21 hits, including six doubles, for 15 runs batted in (RBI) and an explosive 15-7 victory. The Skyhawks offense matched the fourth-most hits, fifth-most doubles, and seventh-most RBIs in a game in program history.

Series History
Fort Lewis enters the weekend series trailing Regis 86-34 all-time since 1990. The Rangers boast a dominant 41-16 lead on their home field and own the most recent series win by way of three games to one back in 2022. Since then, the two teams have split each of the last two series in Denver and Durango, Colo., respectively.
 
Scouting the Rangers
Regis, voted to finish fourth in this year's preseason coaches' poll, has been up and down in recent weeks, taking a four-game sweep over New Mexico Highlands (14-35, 8-32 RMAC) before dropping a pair of games on the road to UCCS (28-20, 22-15 RMAC). The final two games between the Mountain Lions and Rangers were canceled.
