Live Results

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College men's golf seeks to improve on last week's results as it heads to Sheridan, Wyoming, for the Travis Roy Memorial Invitational at The Powder Horn Golf Club, hosted by South Dakota Mines.

Monday and Tuesday will feature 11 talented teams from the West South-Central super region, including the Skyhawks, South Dakota Mines, Colorado School of Mines, Texas A&M International, Westmont College, Colorado Mesa, CSU Pueblo, Westminster, Montana State Billings, as well as Colorado Christian, and St. Mary's (Texas), who checked in at No. 8 and No. 13, respectively, on the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA) Bushnell/Golfweek DII national poll. Colorado Mesa, Mines, and CSU Pueblo each received votes as well.

The Powder Horn Golf Club, a nationally recognized private club, features 27 holes of championship golf designed by Dick Bailey, split into three nine-hole courses: the Mountain Course, Stag Course, and Eagle Course. The Eagle course is the longest of the three, spanning up to 3,683 yards from the championship black tees, followed by Stag at 3,491 yards, and Mountain at 3,443 yards.

This week, Fort Lewis is sending redshirt junior Traejan Andrews, redshirt senior Jordan Jennings, seniors Jake Chesler and Ian Henderson, and freshman Dallin Stephens. Last weekend, Andrews led the squad with a ninth-place finish at the Pilgrim's Run Invitational on a score of 222 (+3). Jennings finished closely behind in 14th on a 226 (+7) overall. Stephens, on the other hand, will be making his collegiate debut.

Looking Ahead
Next week, the Skyhawks will head just north to Montrose, Colo., and The Bridges Golf & Country Club, for its own San Juan Intercollegiate, co-hosted with Colorado Mesa, from Sept. 22-23.
