DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis women's golf is heading west on a few short days of rest to make its third appearance this fall at the Westminster Wasatch Invitational over at Glenmoor Golf Club in South Jordan, Utah.
 
Nestled within South Jordan, Glenmoor Golf Club provides several elevation changes and stretches out to as far as 6,815 yards from the championship black tees, featuring a par of 72, a rating of 72.4, and a slope of 129.
 
This weekend's event will mark the fifth consecutive Westminster Wasatch Invitational and will feature programs from across the greater West South-Central region, including Adams State, Dominican University of California, Colorado Mesa, Jessup University, Menlo College, Vanguard University (Calif.), MSU Denver, and Westmont College (Calif.), and Colorado Christian, who received votes on the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association Mizuno Division II national poll.
 
Earlier in the week, Fort Lewis went into the desert of Goodyear, Ariz., to take on the Golf Club of Estrella, and came away with a ninth-place team finish on the back of a 619 (+43) combined score. Junior Sarah Grenemyer, a native of Albuquerque, N.M., and a graduate of La Cueva High School, paced the Skyhawks, earning a tie for 18th after carding a 75 (+3) and a 74 (+2) to finish at 149 (+5) overall.
 
Looking Ahead
Following this weekend, the Skyhawks will enjoy two weeks of rest before making their final appearance of the fall at the NCAA West Regional Preview, hosted by CSU Pueblo, over at the Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colo., from Oct. 13-14.
