Andrews to represent Skyhawks at West South-Central Regional

5/6/2026 10:00:00 AM

DURANGO, Colo. – Fort Lewis College redshirt junior men's golfer Traejan Andrews is set to represent the Skyhawks men's golf team as an individual qualifier at the NCAA West South-Central Super Regional at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, California, this Thursday through Saturday, May 7-9.

Andrews, a native of Greeley, Colo., and a North Ridge High School graduate, is just the second Skyhawk, including Charlie Laudermilk (2009-13), since 2011-12 to make back-to-back appearances in an NCAA regional. He also joins Laudermilk, Ronald Kildall III (2021-25), and Darren Edwards (2018-22) as the only individuals to earn an at-large bid to the regional since Fort Lewis last went as a team in 2010-11 and made it all the way to the NCAA championships.

The Reserve at Spanos Park's 7,132-yard, par-72 links-style course was designed by Andy Raugust and debuted in 1999. With Rye grass fairways and A-4 Bent grass greens, the championship-style course boasts a rating of 74 and a slope of 133. In addition, this week's forecast calls for sunny, clear skies with highs of 85-90º and calm winds of 3-5 mph.

At the Men's DII Stockton Invitational earlier this year, No. 15-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo won the team title on a seven-under-par 569 through two rounds, while Western Washington University's Rex Wilson won individual medalist honors on a five-under 139. Only 19 of the 109 golfers in the tournament finished at or below par.

Most recently, Andrews is coming off a fifth-place finish at the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships (Apr. 19-21) at Boulder Creek Golf Club. He put up back-to-back 69s (-3) in the first two rounds before capping the event with a 37 (+1) across the final nine holes of the tournament to shoot a 175 (-5) overall through 45 holes. This year, Andrews has carried a 72.61 per-round scoring average, posted 13 rounds at or under par, six rounds in the 60s, and one top 5, five top 15, and a pair of top 25 individual finishes.
