Biography

2024 (Freshman)
Stewart burst onto the scene for the Skyhawks as a true freshman, making three starts across his 10 games played in the trenches at defensive end... racked up 26 total tackles, the tenth-most on the Skyhawks roster, including 20 solo and six assisted tackles... also made 4.5 tackles for 18 yards lost, featuring 3.0 sacks for 14 yards lost... finished 2nd on the team with two forced fumbles and tied for the 3rd-most pass breakups with three... one of only four players to both force and recover a fumble on the season... also one of only two players to block a kick after batting down a 32-yard field goal attempt against South Dakota Mines (Sept. 28)... had a career game against Colorado Mesa (Oct. 26), making eight tackles, including one sack for four yards lost, while also forcing a fumble... made at least one tackle in eight games and three or more tackles on five occasions... made at least 0.5 tackles for loss in five games and had 1.0 sacks in three contests... broke up a career-high two passes while making four tackles, two solo and two assisted, and 1.0 sacks for five yards lost on the road at #13/12 Western Colorado (Oct. 5).

Prior to FLC: Stewart was a two-time letterwinner at Carlsbad High School... played a mix of defensive and tight end... helped the Lancers to the Avocado League Championship in 2022 and 2023... earned the Coaches Award in 2023... First-Team All-League selection... racked up 14.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 22 quarterback hurries in his final season. 

Personal: Born March 19, 2006... son of Cristin and Jason Stewart... has two siblings, Charlie and Molly who are both collegiate athletes... enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and rock climbing... listens to a mix of soul, jazz, and country music... makes a mean homemade guacamole... favorite food is sushi... intends on majoring in Exercise Science while at FLC... when asked about his favorite part of Fort Lewis, Stewart shared, "the atmosphere surrounding the football team."
