2014 Skyhawks Football Game Day Notes - Nov. 10, 2014QuicklyThe Skyhawks 30 points at Adams State University was the most they have scored in a conference game this season. Â Fort Lewis tagged on 45 points at Oklahoma Panhandle State earlier this season. Â The most points FLC scored in an RMAC game this season prior to Saturday's game was 28 (W, 28-20 at Colorado Mesa).
Adams State improves to 34-14-1 all-time against Fort Lewis in the Musket Game series. The last time the Skyhawks defeated Adams State was last season at Ray Dennison Memorial Field (W, 27-24).
In the last three games, the Skyhawks have out-scored their opponents 60-21 in the first half, not allowing their opponent to score more than seven points in the half. Â However, in the second half of the past three games, the Skyhawks have been out-scored 24-60.

Chadron State is on an eight game winning streak against the Skyhawks. Â The last time Fort Lewis defeated the Eagles was Oct. 1, 2005 at Ray Dennison Memorial Field, 42-35.
As a team, the Eagles rank in the top four in the conference in multiple categories. Â CSC leads the league in rushing offense (206.7 yards per game), kickoff coverage (41.0 average), field goals (12-of-14, 85.7 percent), and third down conversions (67-of-154, 43.5 percent).
CSC is third in scoring offense (34.9 points per game), scoring defense (30.09 points per game), total defense (435.9 yards per game), fewest sacks against (16 sacks, 124 yards), and kickoff returns (23.0 yards per return). They are fourth overall in total offense (457.4 yards per game), rushing defense (167.3 yards per game), passing defense (268.6 yards per game), punting (36.2 yards per game), and sacks by (21 sacks-129 yards).Â
Two of the top 10 running backs in the league hail from Chadron State. Â Michael Madkins has the fourth most rushing yards in the league (98.3 per game), followed by Cody Paul who ranks 10th with 53.4 yards.
Quarterback Jonn McLain has completed 211 passes on 347 attempts for 2,281 yards and 19 touchdowns (six interceptions). Â He has a pass efficiency rating of 130.6.
McLain's top target is Kyle Vinich who has caught 55 passes for 766 yards and seven scores.
Sophomore kicker Randy Wentz is eighth overall in the league in scoring and fifth in scoring among kickers with 71 points. Â He has made 35-of-37 extra point attempts and 12-of-13 field goals.
Sophomore Cody Paul leads the league in kickoff returns. Â Paul is averaging 28.9 yards per return. Â He has tallied 20 returns in 10 games for 577 yards.
Defensively, Dylan Furrier is averaging 10.4 tackles per game. Â Fifty-six of his tackles have been solo stops. Â He has also added 2.5 sacks per game.
Individual NotesShane Nelson recorded his second straight game with an interception. Â Nelson picked off Adams State and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown, marking the first score of the game.
In 10 games this season, Folaumoeloa ranks 11th in the league in sacks and eighth in tackles for loss. Â He has recorded 3.5 sacks for a loss of 12 yards. Â Eleven of his tackles have gone for a loss of 34 yards (eight solo TFL).
Kipp Castanha recorded several game highs against the Grizzlies. Â He averaged a season high 43.6 yards per punt while punting a season high eight times (tie). Â Three of his punts landed inside the 20-yard line (tie).
After missing last week due to an injury, freshman running back
PJ Hall is ranked sixth in the league in rushing with 79.3 yards per game. Â He has carried the ball 149 times and gained 714 yards for two touchdowns.
Junior linebacker
Ryan Ross continues to be ranked in the top 10 in the league in tackles. Â Ross has posted 92 tackles (53 solo) through 10 games, averaging 9.2 tackles per game. Â Ross has five games this season with 10 or more tackles.
