Bramley and Wilborn Named RMAC All-Academic First Team; Borneo, Sargent, Schutt and Speece Also Honored

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. –
Seniors Becca Bramley and Carly Wilborn were named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic First Team. Quinlyn Borneo, Saylor Sargent, Sylas Schutt and Cody Speece were all named to the Honor Roll.

In order to make the list, student-athletes must carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters. The conference's sports information directors voted on the award winner, along with 10 other First Team All-Academic members. Those that met the requirements but were not voted onto First Team automatically qualify for the Honor Roll.

Bramley holds a 3.383 GPA and is majoring in psychology. Since starting the season at the Roy Griak in Minnesota, Bramley has been one of the top runners in the region throughout the year. She came out of the gates ready to go in that race, clocking a time of 22:37.0 to finish 10th. Facing another tough field in Kansas later on, Bramley was up to the challenging leading the way for the Skyhawks posting a fourth-place finish with a time of 18:17.6. Bramley earned All-RMAC Second Team honors at the RMAC Championships when she placed 20th with a time of 22:42.9. NCAA and USTFCCCA All-Region honors followed at the South Central Regional when Bramley came in 24th with a time of 22:30.9.

Wilborn holds a 3.914 GPA and is majoring in physiology. She opened her season in the middle of September in Gunnison at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Open clocking a time of 20:04.81 to come in 29th. At Roy Griak, Wilborn posted a time of 24:50.7 which was good for 70th. Against another tough field in Kansas, she added a 76th-place finish posting a time of 20:32.0. At the RMAC Championships, she finished right with a pack of Skyhawks coming in 74th with a time of 24:46.1. At Regionals she finished her senior season strong crossing in 54th with a time of 23:38.6.

Borneo holds a 3.512 GPA and is majoring in English. She opened the season at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Open crossing with a time of 24:45.61 to place 83rd. Up in Denver at the Roadrunner Invitational, Borneo added a time of 28:48.3 to come in 126th.

Sargent holds a 3.667 GPA and is majoring in music performance. She opened the season as well in Gunnison posting a time of 21:39.03 which was good for 60th. During the Roadrunner Invitational in Denver, Sargent clocked a time of 25:38.1 which was good for 84th. Sargent competed as an individual at the Fort Hays Invitational in Kansas where she clocked a solid time of 20:36.0 to place 21st. She concluded her season at the RMAC Championships placing 87th with a time of 25:21.1.

Schutt holds a 3.397 GPA and is majoring in accounting. He opened the season in Minnesota at the Roy Griak posting a finish of 27th with a time of 26:23.3. Against a tough field in Kansas at the Fort Hays State Invitational, Schutt came in 59th with a time of 26:20.1. At the RMAC Championships, he finished in a pack with four other Skyhawks coming away with a time of 26:59.8 to place 55th. Schutt capped his season at Regionals where he posted a time of 33:25.6 to come in 75th.

Speece holds a 3.828 GPA and is majoring in public health. He also opened the season at the Roy Griak coming in 66th with a time of 27:34.2. Racing against a tough field in Kansas, Speece crossed in 127th with a time of 27:56.7 at the Fort Hays State Invitational. At the RMAC Championships, he clocked a time of 28:02.0 to come in 92nd. Speece finished the season at Regionals where he came in 101st with a time of 34:13.8.
