Scouting the Grizzlies
Adams State owns an 0-13-1 overall record alongside an 0-6 record in RMAC contests. The Grizzlies' lone tie of the season came against South Dakota Mines in a 1-1 finish. Senior Brendan Koplin leads the Grizzlies in scoring with three goals on the year thus far on just seven shots on goal and 13 shots overall.

Fort Lewis and Adams State have already faced off once this season in a non-conference game in Durango, Colo. The Skyhawks were hot, scoring six goals against the Grizzlies en route to a 6-0 win at home. Aymaro Vargas scored his first collegiate hat trick against ASU, while Gabriel Legendre, Henrik Hake, and Jakob Maurek each added goals as well.

Scouting the Roadrunners
MSU Denver boasts an 8-4-2 overall record and 2-3-1 conference mark to land them sixth in the RMAC standings. The Roadrunners had a strong start to its season going 6-1-1 ahead of its conference schedule. However, after a pair of wins at South Dakota Mines and Colorado Christian, MSUD finds themselves on a three-game losing streak. The Roadrunners lost to Colorado School of Mines 1-0 at home, then proceeded to fall 1-0 to Westminster College and 2-0 to Colorado Mesa.

MSU Denver made the trek to Durango, Colo., earlier this season and stole a 2-1 victory from the Skyhawks. Gabriel Legendre scored the opening goal for FLC in the 22nd minute, giving Fort Lewis a 1-0 advantage heading into halftime. The Roadrunners turned it up a notch in the second half and never looked back. Bryson Chiles scored an equalizer in the 54th minute and proceeded to score the winning goal in the 66th minute off the foot of Nicco Schiappa.

Last Time Out
The Skyhawks are back at home after a challenging road trip to No. 7 Colorado State University Pueblo and (RV) University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Fort Lewis was off to a strong start against The Pack after Maximilian Meier scored an equalizer in the 60th minute, but the Thunderwolves struck for a pair of goals in the 77th and 83rd minutes to secure the win. The Mountain Lions on the other hand was too much for the Skyhawks to handle. Scoring a trio of goals in the opening half, UCCS took the early 3-0 lead and never looked back.

Looking Ahead
Next Fort Lewis will host its final two RMAC matches of the season. On Thursday, Oct. 20 the Skyhawks will welcome Regis for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off under the lights on Dirks Field. On Sunday, Oct. 23, the Skyhawks will host South Dakota School of Mines at 11:00 a.m. for senior day.
