WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Jordan Jennings tied for ninth place to guide the Fort Lewis College men's golf team in its final fall tournament hosted by Regis University at the Walnut Creek Golf Preserve. The Skyhawks captured a fifth-place finish with an 855 (295, 282, 278) on the scorecard, beating out Westminster University in sixth and falling just behind Colorado School of Mines in fourth.

Colorado Mesa University won the team title, shooting a combined 831 (275, 280, 276). Bradley Mudler from Colorado Christian University and Max Lange from Mines tied for the individual title, shooting 207 and finishing nine strokes under par for the tournament.

The Skyhawks were led by Jennings who tied for ninth with Yael Chahin from Colorado Mesa. Jennings put a 211 (70, 72, 69) on the scorecard, finishing five under par overall.

As a unit, Fort Lewis had its share of struggles in round one, ending seven strokes over par with a 295. Jennings led the men shooting a two-under-par 70. Skyhawks senior Nicholas Krantz fired off an impressive 65 (-7) but competed independently which consequently did not count toward the team's final score. Despite dropping 12 birdies, it was ten bogeys, three double bogeys, and a single triple bogey that kept FLC from shooting under par.

Fort Lewis fought back in the second round by shaving off 13 strokes and shooting six under as a team. Jake Chesler led the blue and gold in round two, finishing three under (69), followed by Ronald Kildall III (70), and Carson Kerr (71).

FLC ended the fall season and final round on a high note shooting a combined score of 278 (-10) with Kerr leading the flock whilst shooting 68 (-4). As a unit, the Skyhawks averaged 3.07 on par 3s, 4.07 on par 4s, and 4.73 on par 5s. By the end of the final round, the team racked in 174 pars, 51 birdies, and a single eagle.

The Skyhawks have closed out the fall season and will now take some time off before returning for the championship season in the spring.
