11/13/2023 12:30:00 PM

DURANGO, Colo. – Head coach Paige Adair, as a part of National Signing Day, is excited to announce the signings of seven new student-athletes to join the Fort Lewis College softball program for the 2024-25 academic school year. All student-athletes have signed either National Letters of Intent or aid agreements with the Skyhawks softball program.

"We are very excited for this 2024 signing class," Adair commented. "All seven of these girls check all of the boxes of what we look for in student-athletes. They are all great students, great softball players, and even better people who come from great families. Each girl is going to hit the ground running when they arrive at FLC and all of them are going to make an immediate impact. I can't wait to see what they all do in a Skyhawk uniform."

Chloe Padilla (Pitcher/Infield, 5-7, Fruita, Colo./Fruita Monument High School)
Padilla, one of two Colo. natives, comes to Fort Lewis following a four-year letter-winning career on the western slope at Fruita Monument High School. A dual threat at pitcher and first base, Padilla notched a no-hitter in this fall's State Tournament while also finishing in the top three on her roster in home runs across the season. Padillia's efforts have earned her a plethora of accolades including First-Team All-Conference and Softball Player of the Year in 2023 and 2022, the Blue Collar Award in 2022, Scotty's Athlete of the Week in Sep. of 2022, the Daily Sentinel High School Sports Award, and was a member of the Sparkler's All-American Team in 2022.
