COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After capturing the regular season championship and the first overall seed in the conference tournament, the Fort Lewis College men's soccer team secured five All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference awards including head coach David Oberholtzer being named the RMAC Head Coach of the Year and Anton Hjalmarsson both the conference's Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year.

Hjalmarsson, alongside junior Gabriel Legendre and redshirt senior Loic Jean-Baptiste, earned First-Team All-Conference honors while junior Tomas Duenes and sophomore Kaden Schufft each earned a Second-Team All-Conference nod.

Oberholtzer, having guided the Skyhawks over the past eight seasons, has earned his first RMAC Coach of the Year award after leading Fort Lewis to a 10-3-4 record and the program's conference-leading seventh regular-season title: Oberholtzer's first as a head coach and first for the program since 2011.

A native of Smålandsstenar, Sweden, and graduate of Gärdeskolan, Hjalmarsson's impact has been nothing short of monumental. The six-foot-one forward tallied the second most goals and assists in the league this season with ten and eight, respectively. Additionally, Hjalmarsson recorded three game-winning goals including two to capture the regular season championship at 17th-ranked Colorado Mesa University.

Legendre, a two-time All-RMAC Honorable Mention, and 2022 Second-Team All-RMAC award winner has captured his first, First-Team All-RMAC recognition. The Rio Rancho, N.M., native matched Hjalmarsson with the second-most goals scored in the conference with ten while also providing one assist. Legendre also scored four game-winning goals and led the league with 30 shots on goal across the season.

With his three goals scored and three assists dished out, Jean-Baptiste returns to the First-Team All-RMAC ranks. A two-time first-team honoree in 2019 and 2020, Jean-Baptiste has captured his fourth overall conference honor including an honorable mention award in 2022. A native of Martinique, France, Jean-Baptiste matches his season-high of three assists while still racking up his three goals across just ten shots on frame.

Named the RMAC Freshman of the Year and Second-Team All-RMAC in 2021, Duenes earns his second, Second-Team All-RMAC nod. The five-foot-eleven forward from Torreon, Mexico, finished the season with the league's seventh-most goals scored at seven to pair with the league's third-most assists also at seven.

Having recorded just a single point in 2022, Schufft had a breakout season as a defender starting in 16 of the Skyhawks' 17 total games en route to capturing his first Second-Team All-RMAC award. The six-foot-four, Rio Rancho, N.M., native, recorded a pair of goals and assists including a score in the Skyhawks' come-back draw at Westminster University to put FLC in the position to capture the regular season title.

Fort Lewis' season continues this week as the Skyhawks, having earned the top seed in the conference tournament, enjoy their first-round bye before hosting the semifinal match this Sunday, Nov. 5, at 5:00 p.m. on Dirks Field. FLC will play the winner of Thursday night's match of fifth-seeded Westminster at fourth-seeded University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
