COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the volleyball All-Academic teams on Wednesday with five Fort Lewis College student-athletes earning recognition.

To be eligible for honor roll consideration, a student-athlete must carry a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters. First Team All-Academic members were voted on by the conference's sports information directors for meeting those criteria as well as demonstrating outstanding performance on the court.

Headlining the group for Fort Lewis was sophomore Ella Butler who was named to the All-Academic First Team. Butler is the first Skyhawks to make the First Team since 2019. The sophomore finds a spot on the All-Academic team for the first time in her career, boasting a 3.96 cumulative GPA while studying Environmental Biology. Butler is one of 14 student-athletes from eight institutions to make the First Team.

There were four additional Skyhawks named to the Honor Roll, including seniors Jade Martinez (3.55 GPA, Computer Engineering), Lauren Shea (3.49 GPA, Integrative Biology), Chay Swenson* (3.49 GPA, Biochemistry), and junior Sarah Wilkey (3.67 GPA, Educational Studies).
