Men’s soccer wraps up 2023 recruiting class with 11 new additions

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's soccer team has signed an additional 11 student-athletes to the class of 2023-24, announced by head coach David Oberholtzer. The Skyhawks have now signed 18 student-athletes this offseason for the fall of 2023.
 
Fort Lewis bolsters its roster with a plethora of collegiate transfers ranging from Junior College to NCAA Division I and a talented group of graduating high school seniors. All student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent, letters of commitment, or financial aid agreements to FLC.
 
"This group brings so many positive things to the table," Oberholtzer said. "These future Skyhawks are fantastic people that I'm proud to have to represent our program. We're always looking for great competitors and teammates, and we've found that in each of these young men. There's a really strong combination of top young talent and experience transfers that are going to elevate our overall quality from day one."
 
Hugo Champalloux – 5'10" | Wing | Châtellerault, France | Lycée Marcelin Berthelot | Snow College
Champalloux was a two-year player at Snow College. Across his two seasons with the Badgers, Champalloux appeared in 24 games and racked up three goals to complement six assists. Seeing the pitch for 829 minutes, Champalloux earned NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) SWAC (Scenic West Athletic Conference) All-Tournament Team honors in his final season.
 
David Citron – 5'8" | Midfielder | Toulouse, France | Lycée de la Venise Verte | Presbyterian College
Citron played one season at NCAA Division I Presbyterian College. Last season Presbyterian posted a 10-5-2 overall record before falling in the opening round of the Big South Conference Tournament. While with the Blue Hose, Citron made two starts among his eight games played to post one goal and two assists across 260 total minutes.
 
Oscar Ford – 5'7" | Left back | Vail, Colo. | Valor Christian High School
Ford was a Valor Christian High School men's soccer team member. Looking to join the defensive half for FLC, Ford has primarily spent time at left back and left winger.
 
Teodor Hamilton – 5'9" | Forward | Uppland, Sweden | Tibble Gymnasium
Hamilton looks to bolster the Fort Lewis defense, primarily playing in the fullback and winger positions.
 
Aidan Hartman – 6'2" | Goalkeeper | Broomfield, Colo. | Stargate Charter School | Centre College
Hartman makes his way to Durango, Colo., after spending last season at Centre College. Starting in seven of his eight games, Hartman allowed 1.00 goals against average while making 23 saves and guiding the Colonels to an appearance in the Southern Athletic Association Tournament before ultimately falling in the quarterfinals.
 
Thomas Kirkham – 5'8" | Midfielder | Kamas, Utah | South Summit High School | Utah State University Eastern
Kirkham played his last two seasons for NJCAA Utah State University Eastern. Starting in all 27 of his games played for the Eagles, Kirkham tallied seven goals and five assists with two game-winning goals to his name. Last season, Kirkham garnered NJCAA Region 18 Honorable Mention honors. All told, Kirkham was an All-State honoree in high school and holds the school record for the most career goals (46) at South Summit.
 
Cole Lobitz – 6'1" | Defender | Albuquerque, N.M. | Valley High School
Lobitz makes his move to Fort Lewis after spending his junior and senior seasons playing for New Mexico United Academy. A two-time letter winner at Valley High School, Lobitz chose to forgo his final two seasons and transition to New Mexico United instead.
 
Lucas Martin – 6'3" | Goalkeeper | Middlesbrough, England
Heading to Durango from Middlesbrough, England, comes Lucas Martin. Martine, standing at six-foot-three, will be a strong addition to the Skyhawks goalkeeping core.
 
Andres Monge – 6'0" | Midfielder |Albuquerque, N.M. | Atrisco Heritage Academy High School | Trinidad State Junior College
Monge spent his first two seasons of collegiate soccer a few hours away at Trinidad State Junior College. Last season, Monge scored two goals  – one of which stood as a game-winner – and made four assists while taking just 10 total shots.
 
Luis Pacheco – 5'7" | Forward | Edwards, Colo. | Gateway High School
Pacheco joins Fort Lewis after a successful high school career at Gateway High School. Playing forward, Pacheco brings depth to the Skyhawks front half.
 
Lazar Pavlovic – 6'0" | Center back | Belgrade, Serbia | Medical High School Zvezdara | Texas Wesleyan University
Pavlovic played four years at Texas Wesleyan, tallying 42 starts in 44 career games for the Rams. At center back, Pavlovic racked up five career assists and one career goal while playing 3,690 career minutes.
