Salazar earns RMAC Offensive Player of the Week honors

10/14/2025 11:21:00 AM

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Four goals, including the first hat trick for a Fort Lewis College women's soccer player since 2013, led to Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Offensive Player of the Week honors for junior Jenna Salazar, the first weekly accolade of her career.

Salazar was on fire at home last week, opening play with three goals in an eventual 9-0 win over New Mexico Highlands. The hat trick is a rarity for any player in collegiate soccer and was the first for Fort Lewis in 12 seasons. The nine-goal output for the Skyhawks team matched a program record, and the margin of victory was second-best in team history.

The junior followed that up with her seventh goal of the season in a 2-0 win over Adams State on Sunday. Seven goals in a season is the most for a player since 2013. She is tied for second in the conference with her total goals and game winners (3) and is second in both shots per game (3.36) and shots on goal per game (1.64).
