Fort Lewis to compete in National Preview in Boulder City

DURANGO, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College men's golf team will look to get back on track this Monday and Tuesday with the Skyhawks competing in the National Preview, hosted by the University of Missouri St. Louis, over at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev.
 
Opened back in 2003, Boulder Creek features 27 holes of championship golf designed by Mark Rathert. The course will play host once again to the 2025-26 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships, as well as the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships at the end of the season. Boulder Creek features three runs: Desert Hawk, Coyote Run, and Eldorado, and plays as long as 7,628 yards from the Desert Hawk and Coyote run rotation, with a rating of 75.8 and a slope of 142.
 
Last week, the Skyhawks captured a T-12th finish at the Shootout at PGA Riviera Maya (Sept. 28-30) down at the Tulum Country Club at PGA Riviera Maya in Akumal, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Fort Lewis fired off a team score of 941 (+77), paced by Benjamin Harding's career-best T-11th finish on the back of a 226 (+10).
 
This week, Fort Lewis is sending a five-man team consisting of Harding, Traejan Andrews, Jordan Jennings, Ian Henderson, and Chase Rogers. Dallin Stephens will also make the trip and compete as an unattached individual.
 
The Skyhawks will be up against Cal State San Marcos, Georgia Southwestern State University, Lynn University, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Valdosta State, Missouri University S&T, Flagler College, University of Missouri St. Louis, Western New Mexico University, Chico State University, Drury University, Stanislaus State, Midwestern State University, CSU Pueblo, Cal State San Bernardino, and Cal State East Bay.
 
The tournament will begin with a 9 am shotgun start.
 
Looking Ahead
Fort Lewis will close out the fall portion of its 2025-26 campaign next Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 13-14, with a return to the Otter Invitational, hosted by Cal State Monterey Bay, at Bayonet Black Horse over in Seaside, Calif.
