Lamb named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After leading Skyhawks women's basketball to two more wins last week, sophomore Katie Lamb has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Fort Lewis improved to 4-0 thanks to wins over St. Edward's University and Angelo State University last week. The start of the 2025-26 campaign is the best for the program since the 2017-18 season. Lamb is the first Fort Lewis player to be named an RMAC Player of the Week since the 2022-23 season.

The sophomore guard enjoyed a season-high 18 points to begin the week, shooting 43.8 percent from the field in a home win over St. Edward's. Lamb added six steals and four rebounds in the win. She followed it up on Saturday with 14 points at a 41.7 percent clip against Angelo State. The highlight came with just seven seconds remaining when Lamb knocked down a three-pointer to give Fort Lewis its first lead at 62-61, the score that would go final just seconds later.

Fort Lewis is back in action this week at the Maverick Thanksgiving Classic, hosted by Colorado Mesa University. The Skyhawks will face Sul Ross State and Simon Fraser University across the two day tournament.
