GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Sixth-seeded Fort Lewis (19-11, 12-8 RMAC) shot 50 percent from the field while knocking down 13 three-pointers on the back of Stewart Erhart's career performance and 4-of-5 mark from deep to handedly defeat third-seeded Colorado Mesa (19-10, 13-7 RMAC) in the opening round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament inside a boisterous Brownson Arena.

Fort Lewis advances to a rematch with second-seeded Regis (17-12, 14-6 RMAC) this Friday, Mar. 7, at 5 p.m. The Skyhawks and Rangers will face off in Lockridge Arena in Golden, Colo., on the campus of top-seeded and No. 9/9 Colorado School of Mines (25-4, 18-2 RMAC).

Erhart led all players in the contest, with the redshirt freshman going for a career-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting while grabbing six steals, dishing out four assists, and blocking one shot. AJ Riggs supplied 11 points of his own on 4-of-5 shooting with a 3-of-4 clip from deep, and Cassius Carmichael added the final 10 with six rebounds, two assists, and two steals to round out the Skyhawks in double figures. Tru Allen dished out a season-high nine assists, and Chuol Deng led all players with eight rebounds.

Redshirt junior Ty Allred led the Mavericks with 17 points on 4-of-13 shooting and a 7-of-8 night at the free throw line. Freshman Mason Honeyman was the only other player from Colorado Mesa to finish in double figures with 13 points on 3-of-7 shooting and a 5-of-6 mark at the charity stripe.
