RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Fort Lewis men's golfer Traejan Andrews improved from round two to shave off one stroke and match his first-round score with a one-over-par 73 to cap the NCAA West South Central Regional with a four-over 220 total and take a tie for 84th overall.

Utilizing his second eagle of the tournament on hole 15, Andrews capitalized with another pair of birdies on holes four and 14 to help counterbalance a series of bogeys and match his first-round score of 73 (+1). His efforts secured a three-position jump on the individual leaderboard, tying him for 84th. In total, Andrews carded two eagles and nine birdies for the weekend tournament.

No. 6-ranked Oklahoma Christian's No. 19-ranked Oskari Nikku, who entered the final round in third place, put together a strong 67 (-5) in his final round to jump in front and claim individual medalist honors with a three-stroke lead and a dominant 199 (-17) total score.

Defending national champions and No. 1-ranked Colorado Christian cruised to the regional championship title, dominating the field by 14 strokes with an 818 (-46) team total, and landing individual finishes of second place, two tied for third, 20th, and 65th.

With the 2024-25 campaign officially in the books, Andrews and the rest of the Skyhawks golf program will look to enjoy their summer break before returning to action next fall.
