DURANGO, Colo. – The ninth-ranked Fort Lewis men's soccer team (1-0-2) will be back on the comforts of its home pitch and under the lights of Dirks Field this Thursday and Saturday nights, as the Skyhawks welcome Simon Fraser University (0-2-2) for its annual Nike N7 match, presented by SkyUte Resort & Casino, followed by (RV) Northwest Nazarene University (3-0-1) for a weekend showdown.

Nike N7
Since its creation in 2009, the Nike N7 Fund has awarded over $7.5 million in grants to 259 Native American and Aboriginal communities and organizations, reaching more than 500,000 youths. The N7 Fund supports organizations that provide sports and physical activity programming to youth in these communities. Fort Lewis College is honored to be one of just 11 institutions nationwide selected to participate in the games. At halftime, Fort Lewis will honor its Indigenous student-athletes from its cross-country, track and field, and golf teams.

Texas Trip
Fort Lewis is coming off a two-match road trip to the sweltering state of Texas, where the Skyhawks drew even with St. Edward's (2-0-2) 3-3 in an offensive shootout before forcing a 1-1 stalemate over at No. 17-ranked St. Mary's (1-0-2). Freshman phenoms Yohann Fila and Alessio Andreottola each scored two goals across the week, with Fila posting a two-goal brace against the Hilltoppers while Andreottola found the back of the net against both foes. Andreottola now ranks second in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in goals scored (3) and total points (6), while ranking first in total shots (12) and shots on goal (7).
