Fort Lewis to host Adams State on Tuesday for RMAC Quarterfinal

DENVER, Colo. – Stewart Erhart scored 17 points, Chuol Deng turned in 16 points, Massal Diouf went for 12 points, and Donald Bangham, Jr. poured in a final 10 points as the Fort Lewis men's basketball team capped the 2025-26 regular season with 17-10 overall record and a 15-5 mark in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play following an authoritative 83-64 win on the road at Colorado Christian University (13-15, 8-12 RMAC).
 
The fourth-seeded Skyhawks will quickly turn around and prepare to host fifth-seeded Adams State University (18-10, 12-8 RMAC) for another edition of the Route 160 rivalry, this time in the quarterfinals of the 2026 RMAC Tournament at home in Whalen Gymnasium this Tuesday, Mar. 3, at 6 p.m. FLC and ASU split the season series 1-1 with both teams earning wins on their home floors. Tickets are on sale now through the RMAC Championships Ticketing Site. Fort Lewis College staff and faculty, as well as corporate sponsors and members of the Skyhawks Club, will need to purchase a ticket for admission into Tuesday's game. The Skyhawks' hospitality section will be available for pass holders once inside. Students will be granted free admission with a valid SkyCard.
 
Fort Lewis controlled the pace throughout the afternoon, shooting 49.3 percent (33-67) from the field while scoring 52 points in the paint and picking up 15 steals, and subsequently 28 points off turnovers and 21 fast break points, on 25 forced turnovers out of Colorado Christian.
 
The Cougars fired off at 39.3 percent (25-61) for the night, leading the game from beyond the arc where Colorado Christian knocked down 11 treys and shot 30.6 percent. Pierce Bazil led all players with 22 points on 9-of-21 shooting while Schafer Reichart and Andrew Reichart supplied an additional 10 points each.
 
Erhart and the Skyhawks were efficient at getting to the rim, drawing 20 free throw attempts on 18 CCU personal fouls, but managed just a 60 percent (12-20) shooting night at the charity stripe. On the flip side, Fort Lewis was disciplined on the opposite end, allowing just five converted free throws on nine attempts for CCU.
 
Bangham, Jr. finished one board shy of a double-double, leading all players with nine total rebounds, including seven off the defensive glass. Erhart grabbed a game-high six steals while adding four rebounds and two assists, and five different Skyhawks posted two or more assists.
 
Notes
-Fort Lewis won its eighth-straight game over Colorado Christian, extending the Skyhawks lead to 38-15 in the all-time series.
-The Skyhawks clinched the fourth overall seed for the 2026 RMAC Tournament and will host Adams State on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
-Second-year head coach Jordan Mast has led FLC to back-to-back appearances in the RMAC Tournament in first two seasons, as well as a combined 35-21 regular season record and 27-13 record in RMAC play. Mast is 1-1 in the RMAC Tournament.
-Stewart Erhart and Chuol Deng finished in double figures for their 21st times this season, respectively, while Donald Bangham, Jr. went for double figures for the 10th time, and Massal Diouf his seventh time.
-Stewart Erhart has grabbed five or more steals in seven games this season. He continues to lead all of NCAA Division II with 3.36 steals per game. He has grabbed three or more steals in all but nine games this year.
