COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Fort Lewis College volleyball team has been tabbed to finish seventh in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) according to the 2026 Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced Tuesday.

UCCS earned the top spot with 187 points and eight first-place votes. Colorado Mesa came in second with 169 points and one first-place vote, followed by Colorado School of Mines (two first-place votes) and MSU Denver (four first-place votes) with 165 points each. Fort Lewis earned 112 points.

Sophomore libero Alyx Daugherty and senior right side hitter Alina Nunezwere named to the 2026 Preseason All-Conference teams after earning Second Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Conference accolades, respectively, in 2025.

The Skyhawks were 14-12 overall with an 8-6 record in conference play last season. The winning record for Fort Lewis was the first since 2013. The team advanced to the RMAC Tournament for the first time in three years, narrowly falling to (RV) UCCS to end the year in the quarterfinal round.

Fort Lewis opens the season on Friday, August 28, in San Angelo, Texas, at the Angelo State Tournament. The Skyhawks will face UT Permian Basin, No. 21 Angelo State, East Central, and MSU Moorhead over two days of play.
