Jones stepped into a strong role as the No. 2 gunslinger for the Skyhawks, appearing in nine games across the season, and made his first and only career start against (RV) Chadron State (Oct. 18)... completed 27 passes in 47 attempts (57.45% completion percentage) for 321 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception for a 124.60 efficiency rating... averaged 11.9 yards per completion and 35.67 passing yards per game... threw for a 50-yard completion and his first career passing touchdown at Arizona Christian (Sept. 6)... added another 51-yard completion for a touchdown against Colorado School of Mines (Nov. 15)... played a strong role in the ground game, making 45 carries for 262 yards and another touchdown... rushed for his first career touchdown in the season-opener against William Jewell (Aug. 30)... finished fourth in total carries and second in total rushing yards among Skyhawks and averaged 5.8 yards per carry, the second-most among Skyhawks (10 att. min.)... also ranked 24th in total carries, 21st in rushing yards, seventh in yards per carry, and 21st in rushing yards per game across the RMAC... also had five or more carries in six games... twice had a season-high eight carries at #11/11 CSU Pueblo (Oct. 11) and against Mines (Nov. 15)... rushed for a career-high 65 yards on seven carries at South Dakota Mines (Sept. 27)... posted a career effort against the Orediggers in the season finale, completing seven passes in 13 attempts (53.8%) for 112 yards and one touchdown while adding eight carries for 38 yards to finish with a career-high 150 yards of total offense... in addition, Jones made his first career tackle with an assisted tackle at Arizona Christian (Sept. 6)... handled his academics off the field, earning his first pair of nods to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic Honor Roll and to the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter Academic All-Colorado Honorable Mention teams.
2024 (Freshman)
Played in two games for Fort Lewis... utilized a redshirt to retain a season of eligibility... made his collegiate debut at Chadron State (Oct. 19)... made seven rushing attempts against the Eagles for 20 yards, including a career-long seven-yard carry... did not record any passing statistics.
Prior to FLC: Jones was a four-year letterwinner in football and a three-year letterwinner running the 100-meter dash for the track and field program at Chatfield Senior High School... named All-Colorado, First Team All-State, and First-Team All-Conference as a quarterback... voted team captain... owns the Chatfield program record with 82 career touchdowns... threw for six touchdowns in the state championship... racked up 5,031 passing yards.
Personal: Born November 16, 2005... son of Amy and Jason Jones... has three siblings, Jayce, Breanna, and Corisa... enjoys golfing and playing pickleball... listens to rap music... favorite food is steak... intends on majoring in Business while at FLC... when asked his favorite part about Fort Lewis, Jones shared, "the mountains."
