Biography

2024 (Junior)
Did not see any action for Fort Lewis... retained a season of eligibility. 

2023 (Sophomore)
Made 10 appearances and two starts for the Skyhawks offense... racked up 50 rushing attempts for 283 yards and one touchdown... averaged 5.7 yards per rush and 28.30 yards per game... made an 80-yard rushing touchdown against CSU Pueblo (Sept. 30) which stands at Fort Lewis' longest rushing attempt since 2013 and helped Burney to the Skyhawks' first 100-rushing game since 2021... also recorded nine receptions for 73 yards to average 8.11 yards per catch and 7.3 yards per game... supplied 356 yards of total offense for the year and an average of 35.6 yards per game... matched his career-high with two tackles against CSU Pueblo (Sept. 30).

Played in all ten games for the Skyhawks and saw snaps on offense and kick return... made 26 rushing attempts for 109 net yards... averaged 4.2 yards per carry and 10.90 yards per game... had a season-long rushing attempt of 16 yards... made five receptions for 15 yards with a season-long reception of 10 yards... made 2.0 total tackles on defense, one solo and one assisted... earned Academic All-Colorado Honorable Mention honors from the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter.

Prior to FLC: Burney was a four-year player for Rock Canyon High School... All-Conference... team captain.

Personal: Born February 20, 2004... son to Alberta Burney... has one brother, Chazz... intends on majoring in Psychology at FLC.
