Shanks capped her career as a Skyhawk, making 10 starts and appearing in 20 total games, the second-most among pitchers on staff... posted a 1-8 record with seven complete games through 74.2 innings of work... surrendered 103 hits for 59 runs, 43 of which were earned, and allowed 15 walks and three hit-by-pitches (HBP) en route to a .316 opponents average, a 1.58 walks-plus-hits-per-inning-pitched (WHIP), and a 4.03 earned run average (ERA)... boasted the ninth-best ERA in the RMAC among qualified pitchers... gave up the fewest home runs (2), the second-fewest walks (15), second-fewest doubles (15), fifth-fewest earned runs (43), fifth-fewest sacrifice bunts (5), seventh-fewest runs (59), and tenth-fewest hits (103) among qualified pitchers in the RMAC... opponents managed just 22 extra-base hits, four sacrifice flys, and five sacrifice hits... ranked second on the roster with seven complete games... threw three wild pitches... matched her career-bests with no walks allowed in a five-inning run-rule victory over Adams State (Mar. 22)... continued to handle business in the classroom, earning her third-straight selection to the RMAC All-Academic First-Team, second nod to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Teams, and first nod to the Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Scholar-Athlete teams.Â

Made 24 starts across her 31 games played in the circle for the Skyhawks... tied for the second-most complete games in all of NCAA Division II through the end of the regular season with 24... all tied for the 64th-most pitching appearances (31) in DII in the regular season... her 31 pitching appearances are the eighth-most in a single-season by a Skyhawk... amassed a 4.12 ERA, 1.52 WHIP, and 9-15 record with one shutout... pitched 170.0 total innings which are the second-most in a single season in program history... struck out 70 batters against 50 walks for a 1.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio... opposing hitters held a .296 average... boasted a perfect fielding percentage with 73 assists and 5 putouts in 78 chances en route to capturing her first RMAC Gold Glove Award and becoming the first player in Fort Lewis and RMAC history as well as the third in the South-Central region to earn a Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association since it expanded to DII in 2023... pitched Fort Lewis to a 5-2 win over No. 4-ranked West Texas A&M to beat the Buffaloes for the first time in program history and earned the Skyhawks first ranked win since 2013 and possibly the highest ranked win in program history... had a career day in the series opener against Regis (Mar. 8) as she sat down a career-high eight batters while also throwing an 8.0 inning complete-game that Fort Lewis walked off 2-1... tossed her only shutout of the year on the road at Black Hills State (Apr. 13) and allowed only three hits with one walk... moved into a tie for the second-most victories in program history alongside Kassie Haubert (2009-14) with 36... now owns the eighth-most strikeouts (189), the fifth-most starts in the circle (66), and the third-most appearances (99) in program history.
