Biography

2024 (Freshman)
Made an immediate impact on the Skyhawks' defense, making five starts while playing all 11 games... recorded three tackles (two solo, one assisted) in his collegiate debut at home against William Jewell (Aug. 31)... made a career-high seven tackles (four solo, three assisted) on the road at #13/12 Western Colorado (Oct. 5)... finished the campaign with 32 tackles, including 21 solo and 11 assisted, three tackles for 13 yards lost, two sacks for seven yards lost, and one fumble recovery, pass breakup, and quarterback hurry each... made his first fumble recovery at Adams State (Nov. 2), broke up his first pass against New Mexico Highlands (Nov. 9), and made his first quarterback hurry against South Dakota Mines (Sept. 28).

Prior to FLC: Butler comes to Durango following one academic term at Pima Community College... was a four-year member of the Lions football and lacrosse teams at Pusch Ridge Christian Academy... named First-Team All-State and Linebacker of the Year... twice named FIrst-Team All-Conference... posted a 35-7 career record in football through high school... had a career game his senior season with 12 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles in one outing. 

Personal: Born April 21, 2005... son to Sarah and Doyal Butler... has one sibling, Lux... enjoys listening to artists like Zach Bryan, eating potatoes, and drawing... intends on majoring in Mechanical Engineering while at FLC... when asked about his favorite part of Fort Lewis, Butler shared, "The community and beautiful scenery."
