RMAC Academic Honor Roll
Schaefer competed in 10 games for the Skyhawks... registered five tackles across the season, including three solo and two assisted tackles, and made 1.0 tackles for 13 yards lost... made his first career tackle for loss and forced his first fumble in the season opener against William Jewell (Aug. 31)... had a career-high two solo tackles on the road at Chadron State (Oct. 19)... named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll for the first time and to the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter's Academic All-Colorado First-Team for the second consecutive season... one of four Skyhawks to be named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District teams.

2023 (Freshman)
NFFCC Academic All-Colorado First-Team
Played in eight games as a true freshman... made his collegiate debut at Adams State (Sept. 23)... recorded his first collegiate tackle, a solo tackle, at South Dakota Mines (Oct. 21)... named to the NFFCC Academic All-Colorado First-Team for his efforts in the classroom. 

Prior to FLC: Was a four-year member of the football team and lettered thrice at Silver Creek High School... was an All-State and All-Region Honorable Mention honoree... also a two-time All-Conference honoree... tabbed as a three-time Academic All-State honoree... in his final season, he registered 66.0 tackles, forced two safeties, and made 5.5 sacks. 

Personal: Born February 27, 2005... son of Tyler Schaefer... has two siblings, Ruby and Jack... plans to pursue his degree in Education... enjoys weight lifting, sushi, seafood subs, and listening to Temple of the Dog and Kid Cudi... when asked about what he likes most about Fort Lewis College Schaefer shared, "I enjoy being in a mountain town."
