Matisse Monty recorded a match high 15 kills and senior
Shelby Lehman added 12 kills and hit .455 offensively to lead the Fort Lewis College volleyball team to a 3-1 win at New Mexico Highlands University Friday night.
The win snapped a 10 match losing streak and was the Skyhawks first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference win of the season.
FLC dropped the first set, 25-23, but won the next three sets to take the match, 25-23, 25-18, 25-21.
As a team, the Skyhawks hit .225 in the match with 55 kills.
Delaney Scanlan recorded 41 of the Skyhawks 53 set assists. Junior libero
Ally Dell'Amico tallied 28 digs and
Clara Salopek added 14.
Hannah Hargrove posted two solo blocks and assisted on another to go with her five kills.
Fort Lewis is hosting three matches this week. FLC dropped a 3-1 decision to Adams State University on Tuesday night. The Skyhawks hold the all-time series lead against the Grizzlies, 68-34, and a 33-10 series lead when playing ASU at Whalen Gymnasium.
On Friday the Skyhawks will play host to Colorado Mesa University. The Mavericks are currently in a three-way tie for second place in the Rocky Division with a 7-2 record (9-8 overall). CMU is tied for third place overall in the league standings.
Colorado Mesa holds the all-time series lead over the Skyhawks with a 55-33-1 record, and a 23-14 record at FLC. The last time the Skyhawks defeated Colorado Mesa was Nov. 15, 2013 at FLC (W, 3-2).
Saturday's match against Westminster College will be the first ever meeting between the two teams. WC is in their first year as a full member of the RMAC. They enter the weekend tied for seventh place in the Rocky Division with a 2-7 record. The Griffins are tied for 13th in the overall standings.

Matisse Monty ranks eighth in the league in service aces with 21.

Ally Dell'Amico has the sixth most digs per set in the RMAC with 4.55.
As a team, the Skyhawks are fifth in the league in service aces per set (1.35) and eighth in digs per set (15.74).
Of the Skyhawks six main starters this season, four are new to the program (
Matisse Monty,
Gabriella Hickman,
Maddie LeBlanc,
Delaney Scanlan) and three of which are true freshman (Monty, Hickman, LeBlanc). Sophomore
Hannah Hargrove saw limited playing time as a true freshman last season and senior
Shelby Lehman is a four year letterwinner for the Skyhawks.

Gabriella Hickman were named to the 2015 OPSU Aggies Challenge All-Tournament Team.

Head coach
Kelley Rifilato is in her third year at the helm of the program. She has guided the Skyhawks to an 18-36 overall record in her first two years.
Assisting head coach
Kelley Rifilato is first year assistant coach
Gabriella Hochanadel. Hochanadel is the daughter of Rifilato. She played for her mother at Bayfield High School before becoming an all-conference setter at Adams State University.
Tessa Andrews also enters her third year on the sidelines with Rifilato. Andrews was an All-RMAC performer at Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University) from 2007-2010.
