Alex Tenorio and Mykel Torres supplied a pair of three-hit afternoons for the Skyhawks while Kayla Stone, who was recently named the Week 11 RMAC Player of the Week, led all players on the day with three runs batted in on a pair of solo and two-run home runs.

Game One – Fort Lewis 4, New Mexico Highlands 1
Shanks went the distance against NMHU's Arianna Ramirez (4-12) and edged the Cowgirls in just 95 pitches. While Shanks struck out four and walked two for three runs, only one of which was earned, Ramirez gave up seven hits resulting in four earned runs alongside three walks and one strikeout.

Stone and the Skyhawks jumped on the Cowgirls in the bottom of the first inning when Stone belted a two-out, two-run shot to right-center field for her third bomb in her last three games.

Shanks was perfect through the first five frames, sitting down all 15 batters and allowing FLC to add insurance runs in the second and third innings on an RBI single from Tenorio and a solo shot from Stone. In addition to a walk in the top of the seventh, New Mexico Highlands registered all three hits in the sixth inning and plated its only run on a single off the bat of Ramirez.

Game Two – Fort Lewis 3, New Mexico Highlands 1
It was a tight race once again in Saturday's matinee as Maya Milano (7-7) toed the rubber against Mann to close out the day. Mann took just 86 pitches to cruise through her 15th complete game of the year and surrendered only one earned run on five hits with six strikeouts. Milano matched Mann with five hits allowed to the Skyhawks but gave up three runs, all unearned, with one walk and two hit batters.

It wasn't until the second inning of game two when Fort Lewis finally got on the board, using back-to-back-to-back singles from Catheryn Rodman, Cara Daugherty, and an error following Natalie Rodman's single to bring in the lone run. In the bottom of the sixth, Fort Lewis captured a pair of insurance runs thanks to back-to-back errors by the middle infield.

New Mexico Highlands threatened heavily in the top of the seventh, leading off the inning with a single and a double to place two runners in scoring position. Mann then drew a strikeout and dove across the third base line for a foul-out the following at-bat before the final single of the game scored one run and ended the shutout.
