Biography

2024 (Junior)
Stauffer continued to be a staple in the trenches for Fort Lewis, starting all 11 games at defensive end for the Skyhawks... ranked 4th on the roster with 50 total tackles (4.5 tackles/game), featuring 30 solo and 20 assisted tackles... led FLC and ranked 3rd in the RMAC with 15.5 tackles for a combined 48 yards lost... finished 2nd on the team and 7th in the RMAC with 6.5 sacks for 27 yards lost... recovered two fumbles and forced two quarterback hurries... registered his first double-digit defensive performance with 10 tackles in the Skyhawks first win in five years over Arizona Christian (Sept. 14), including three solo and seven assisted tackles alongside 1.0 tackles for four yards lost and 0.5 sacks for three yards... dominated against South Dakota Mines (Sept. 28) for eight tackles, (six solo, two assisted), 4.0 tackles for 11 yards lost, and 2.0 sacks for seven yards lost... recorded three or more tackles in all but one game and had five or more tackles in four games... made a tackle for loss in all but two games and had at least 0.5 sacks on six occasions.

2023 (Sophomore)
Started at defensive end in 10 of his 11 games played for the Skyhawks... made 26 total tackles including 16 solo and 10 assisted to average 2.36 tackles per game... recorded 4.0 tackles for a combined eight yards of loss including 2.0 sacks for five yards of loss... was the only Skyhawk to record a quarterback hurry, pass breakup, and block a kick for the season... had a career-performance at Adams State (Sept. 23) with five total tackles, three solo and two assisted, with 1.5 tackles for three yards of loss including a sack for a three-yard loss and one pass breakup... made three or more tackles on five occasions... recorded at least one tackle in ten games.

2022 (Freshman)
Played in three games for the Skyhawks before being sidelined due to injury... made his collegiate debut against Arizona Christian (Sept. 10)... recorded six tackles, three solo, and three assisted... registered 1.5 tackles for a combined loss of eight yards, including 1.0 sacks for a loss of six yards... had a season-best three tackles, including 1.0 sack for six yards, at CSU Pueblo (Oct. 1).

Prior to FLC: Lettered in Football for four seasons and Basketball for three seasons locally at Durango High School... earned All-Conference and All-State honors in both Football and Basketball... Football State Champion in 2020... led the conference in double-doubles for Basketball in 2022.

Personal: Son of Melissa & Walter Stauffer... has one sibling, Kaeleen... pursuing his degree in Engineering.
