Biography

2024 (Freshman) 
Schmitten made two appearances for Fort Lewis across the season... made his collegiate debut against New Mexico Highlands (Nov. 9)... did not record any statistics... utilized a redshirt to retain a season of eligibility. 

Prior to FLC: Schmitten was a member of the football and baseball teams at ThunderRidge High School... earned three letters in football and one letter in baseball... earned All-State, First-Team All-Conference, and Academic All-State Honorable Mention as a senior... picked up Second-Team All-Conference honors his sophomore and junior seasons... participated in the Elevation All-American Senior Bowl... career-long 49-yard field goal... walked off Rock Canyon High School with a game-winning field goal as time expired in 2022... also played second base and outfield for the baseball team.

Personal: Born March 20, 2006... son of Chrystal and Phil Schmitten... has one sibling, Joey... skis in his free time... enjoys listening to artists such as Travis Scott and Kanye West... favorite foods include baked chicken, cheese burgers, and Alfredo... intends on majoring in Business while at FLC... when asked his favorite part about Fort Lewis, Schmitten shared, "the campus."
