A five-year member of the womens soccer program, Carisa Bradford Bendico started her career with Fort Lewis in 1995 and went on to become the most prolific women's soccer player at Fort Lewis.
Following the completion of the 2010 women's soccer season, 11 years after Bradford's career had come to an end, she still remained FLC's career leader in goals (34) and ranked second in total points (83).
During her senior campaign in 1999, the Monument native set school marks for most goals (15) and pints (37) in a season while notching the second most assists (seven) and shots (62). On Oct. 24, 1999 against New Mexico Highlands, Bradford netted her first career hat trick in a 4-3 win. Bradford scored two or more goals in six games as a Skyhawk. She capped off her illustrious career by guiding Fort Lewis to its first RMAC women's soccer title in 1999, was named the RMAC Player of the Year and received first team All-RMAC honors. A two-time RMAC Player of the Week, Bradford was also selected to the 1998 and 1999 all-region second team, the 1996 and 1998 All-RMAC second team, and was named the team's Most Valuable Player in 1998 and 1999.
"It is quite an accomplisment to be voted into the Athletic Hall of Fame," said former women's soccer head coach Jaymee Carozza, who coached Bradford at Fort Lewis. "Carisa is the first women's soccer player to be honored with this award. I had the privalage of coaching her for three years. She was a joy to coach, especially once she believed in herself as the top player in the conference. Her skill level was superb and highly respected among the top players in the RMAC. I can't think of anyone more deserving of this award than Carisa."
In 2009, Bradford was named to the RMAC All-Century Team for women's soccer — joining her former teammate, Kate Kelly Stahlin, as representatives from Fort Lewis College.
