Koss-Golden, a two-year starter and letter winner in volleyball in 1989 and 1990, became the first and only Fort Lewis College volleyball player to receive All-America recognition when she received NAIA All-America honorable mention as a senior. Koss-Golden also earned RMAC and Fort Lewis College Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors that same year. She owned the NCAA Division II record for most career digs per game (4.53) and had the second most digs in a single season (671 in 1990) in Division II history at the time of her induction. Koss-Golden helped the Raiders win the RMAC volleyball crown in 1990. She worked as a teacher at Tibbetts Junior High School in Farmington, N.M.
