Fort Lewis College Athletics

Rodrigo Ribadeneira brought international flavor to the Aggie basketball teams of 1960-61 and 1961-62. A two-year letter winner, Mr. Ribadeneira helped Fort Lewis A&M to an impressive 35-15 record during his career.

Mr. Ribadeneira represented the country of Ecuador at various international competitions during his playing days.

After leaving Fort Lewis College, Mr. Ribadeneira became a successful businessman in his native Ecuador. He owned a chain of sporting goods stores and Nike outlets.

Mr. Ribadeneira sponsored and recruited more than 25 Ecuadorian students for his alma mater, including his three children. His son, Rodrigo Jr., served as Fort Lewis College student body president during the 1991-92 school year.
