"Skip embodies all of the qualities to which a student-athlete should aspire," said Alan Hill, a former teammate who nominated Jeranko.  "I cannot think of a better representative of Fort Lewis College to be included in the Athletic Hall of Fame, and I am glad that the college has chosen to reconginize and honor his contributions and excellence.  In addition to his accomplishments on the court, Skip was a great leader uring his time at Fort Lewis, both vocally and by example.  He excelled athletically, and in the classroom as well, as is evidenced by his graduation from the University of Colorado Dental School and successful dental practice.  I have spoken to a number of his teammates over the last few years, and all speak very highly not only about his playing abilities, but just as glowingly of his integrity and leadership.  Skip will continue to be a great ambassador for Fort Lewis, an example of the achievements that can be attained at the college."
