A multi-talented, all-purpose threat, Sanders is one of the few players in school history with 500 or more points and rebounds and 300 or more assists during his career. He ranked among Fort Lewis College's all-time top ten in assists (312), steals (117), rebounds (516), and blocked shots (31) at the time of his induction. Sanders was chosen as the Outstanding Male Athlete at Fort Lewis College in 1988.
