Cory Coyle Jameson earned four varsity letters in both volleyball and basketball at Fort Lewis College from 1976 to 1980.

As a junior and senior, she earned first team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference volleyball honors, and was chosen as the volleyball team's Most Valuable Player as a senior. She also received Fort Lewis College's Outstanding Female Athlete award in 1978.

Coyle Jameson served as assistant coach to Peppy Seale during the 1980 volleyball season, and was the junior varsity coach under Robin Oliger at Durango High School in 1989. Former Skyhawk volleyball coach Marcy Jung welcomed Coyle Jameson aboard as honorary coach during the 1995 Homecoming weekend matches.

A Dean's List student, she received a bachelor's degree in secondary education for Fort Lewis College during her first go-around in college in 1980. She returned to Fort Lewis College to earn a second degree in accounting in 1998.

Coyle Jameson is active in the Durango community, officiating high school volleyball matches, volunteering at the Soup Kitchen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and volunteering for VITA, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

She had served as recreation supervisor for the Durango Parks and Recreation Department, and as assistant manager of the Royal Spa and Court Club in Farmington, N.M., and the Durango Sports Club.
