Jeffrey L. Norton is best known as one of the top playmakers in Fort Lewis College men's basketball history.

A four-year starter at point guard from 1983-87, Norton owned four school records at the time of induction, including most career steals (326), most career assists (586), most steals in a season (97 in 1985-86) and most steals in a game (9 vs. Southern Nazarene on 12-6-86).

He earned All-RMAC and All-NAIA District VII honorable mention in 1986-87 when he guided the Raiders to their first-ever RMAC men's basketball championship.
Norton led the RMAC in assists and steals for three seasons during his career. His sophomore campaign was shortened due to a knee injury.

Norton continued his athletic career at Fort Lewis College as a wide receiver on the football team in 1987 and 1989. He caught 46 passes for 712 yards and five touchdowns, earning All-RMAC honorable mention in football in 1987.

He also served as an assistant men's basketball coach to head coaches Jim Cross and Sam Antcliffe at Fort Lewis College for five seasons from 1987-92. Among the players he coached was his younger brother, Troy, who ranked second in Fort Lewis College history in assists and steals at the time of his induction.
