Considered by her former coach, Marcy Jung, as a "true leader" of the 1988 Fort Lewis College volleyball team that went 38-5 and qualified for the NAIA National Championships, Teel is quite possible the best setter in school history. A four-year letter winner from 1986-89, Teel earned first team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors in 1989 and was a second team All-RMAC choice in '88. She also received second team All-NAIA District VII accolades as a junior and senior.
Teel led the Raiders in assists her last two years, with 1,102 (10.20 per game) in 1989 and 1,140 (9.50) in '88. She owns the school record for most service aces per game in a season (0.60 in 1989). Her 65 total aces that season ranks second in school history. Teel's assists (2,242)-would be considerable higher, but complete statistics are missing for much of her career.
Teel's career was marked by success. The Raiders went 109-47 (.699) during her four-year career. In addition to the 1988 RMAC title, she helped her team to RMAC runner-up finishes in 1987 and '89.
A 1990 graduate from Fort Lewis College, Teel also played tennis for the Raiders in 1986-87.
