Dan Antolik earned notoriety as a fullback and linebacker during his four-year football career at Fort Lewis College from 1965-68.

As a fullback, Antolik was a triple threat who could run, catch and block. His best rushing season came in 1968 when he had 130 carries for 422 yards. His top receiving year was 1966, when he caught 21 passes for 366 yards. As a blocker, he cleared holes for Pat Newton and Lloyd Moore, who rank highly on the all-time Fort Lewis College rushing charts.

Antolik also started four years for the Raiders at linebacker. He earned the team's Most Valuable Player award in 1967 and 1968, and was a team captain both seasons.

After graduating from Fort Lewis College with a bachelor's degree in history in 1970, Mr. Antolik started a career in coaching and education, beginning with one year as head football coach and social studies teacher at Mancos High School during the 1970-71 academic year.

He returned to his alma mater in 1971, where he remained until 1976 as an assistant football coach for the Raiders and physical education instructor.

Antolik's coaching resume also includes stops at Hampton University, Bridgewater College, St. Paul's College, New Mexico Military Institute and Salem College, as well as Currituck County High School (N.C.) and Lafayette High School (Va.).

In 2000, he joined the inaugural staff at Christopher Newport University, which was launching its first-ever football program. As of spring 2011, Antolik remained associate head coach and offensive coordiantor at CNU, which has become a regional powerhouse in NCAA Division III.
