A two-time Troy Bledsoe Scholar Athlete of the Year (1995-96, 1996-97), Jessica Copp received numerous awards during her illustrious volleyball career at Fort Lewis College. She was named to the 1997 All-America Strength and Conditioning Team, the 1994 and 1995 All-RMAC second team, the 1996 All-RMAC West Division second team, the RMAC Scholar Athlete award for FLC (1995-96, 1996-97); Academic All-RMAC (1994, 1995, 1996), the Jan Wilson-Hetzler Fort Lewis College Women's Athlete of the Year (1996-97), and the team's Most Valuable Player (1995, 1996).
At the time of her induction, Copp held school records in career digs (1,242) and career games played (273). She also ranked second in career kills (1,125), career total attempts (3,543), and most total attempts in a four-game match (65, October 3, 1996, at New Mexico Highlands).
She and her husband, Jim Lyman, live near Durango in Breen, Colo.
